On Saturday 25th April 2015, only 40 people turned up for the Trade Fair Center in Accra for the Burna Boy in Ghana concert. This made Burna Boy angry and asked those people to go for a refund of their money from organisers of the show.
Burna Boy has spoken about the flopped concert blaming the organizers of the show for not putting things right to see the success of the concert.
He said that “The least I would expect from the organizers is to at least promote the show, and to do things that they’re supposed to do,”
“I don’t know if it’s some kind of curse or not, because every time I come to Ghana, things don’t go as planned.”
“This makes me feel disrespected as an artist, it makes me feel my fans are disrespected and violated because at the end of the day, it’s my name on the line and not the organizers name on the show and for the fact that my name is on the show does not mean I’m the one organizing the show.”
